Litgrid AB announces the recruitment of a Head of Company
“Litgrid, the operator of Lithuania’s electricity transmission system, maintains the stable operation of the country’s electricity system, manages the flow of electricity, and creates conditions for competition in the open electricity market. Litgrid’s employees maintain about 7011 km of overhead lines, 347 km of high-voltage cable lines and 247 transformer substations and switching stations, 9 interconnectors and interconnections with other countries in Lithuania, and continuously maintains the electricity network infrastructure to ensure proper transmission of electricity to all residents, institutions and other organisations in the country. From 22 December 2010. “Litgrid’s shares are listed on the Nasdaq Vilnius Stock Exchange’s supplementary trading list. 97.5% of Litgrid’s shares are held by the energy transmission and exchange group EPSO-G, 100% of which is owned by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania.

Requirements for applicants
General requirementsrequirements (mandatory):
- university degree or equivalent;
- Significant experience in the last 5 years as a company director or other senior manager in a large company (250 people or more) or group of companies;
- proven experience in managing and implementing infrastructure, business transformation or other strategic projects or strategic business development;
- experience in leadership and organisational development and the ability to mobilise and motivate a team to deliver organisational change;
- Experience in international cooperation or international project management;
- Experience of delivering strategic objectives and sustainable corporate value creation;
- excellent Lithuanian and English language skills (written and oral).
Special requirements (assessable):
- experience in engaging and managing international stakeholders in strategic projects, implementing the company’s strategic objectives, and demonstrating ownership of strategy implementation in practice;
- the ability to successfully represent the company’s interests at the highest level;
- Proven leadership in driving innovation and digitalisation of the organisation;
- Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, the ability to convey the company’s vision and public image powerfully, to communicate clearly to a wide range of audiences and to engage effectively with stakeholders;
- knowledge and experience of corporate governance principles and good corporate governance practices;
- the ability to lead an organisation successfully and to make decisions in an environment of uncertainty and rapid change;
- Ability to build and maintain high-performing teams and foster a positive working environment;
- an entrepreneurial and proactive approach and the ability to make rational decisions;
- Knowledge of national and regional strategic energy objectives;
- experience in the energy or other regulated sector;
- Experience in implementing business transformation projects, first-to-market solutions or significant new sustainability initiatives;
- Demonstrated experience in crisis management;
- Ability to work within a group of companies, operating effectively within a matrix management structure, finding and realising synergies across the group and achieving the group’s overall strategic objectives.
Valued as an advantage (assessed):
- knowledge of electricity and other energy systems, market mechanisms and products
- experience in construction projects on the contracting entity or organisation side;
- Demonstrated experience in cyber and physical security or business continuity of infrastructure.
Conformity requirements (mandatory):
- an impeccable reputation;
- not be disqualified from holding and performing the duties and functions of the office applied for;
- not be deprived of the right to work with or have access to information which constitutes a state or official secret;
- the candidate must not have been removed from a single-person or collegiate body of the legal person for misconduct within the last 5 years.
Workplace.
Salary (gross): from €10,400 plus financial incentives (additional remuneration based on company and individual performance). The specific salary will be agreed with the candidate, taking into account his/her experience, competence and ability to deliver results independently.
